What to Watch

In this week's Netflix selections, follow the continuing misadventures of the Baudelaire children as they try to stay out of reach of the evil Count Olaf. A young woman joins her high school wrestling team in an effort to connect with her ex-con father. Finally, a soldier volunteers for a mission to Titan in hopes of saving humanity, only to find that the experiments needed to get him there are turning him into something other than human.

  • A Series of Unfortunate Events - Season 2 - The unfortunate misadventures of the Baudelaire orphans continues in the second season of this Netflix original adaptation, which covers the events of five of the books in the acclaimed young adult series, The Austere Academy, The Ersatz Elevator, The Vile Village, The Hostile Hospital, and The Carnivorous Carnival.
  • First Match - A young woman, Monique, raised in foster homes, joins the boys wrestling team at her high school in an effort to reconnect with her ex-convict father, who starts encouraging her to use unconventional moves, and even fighting techniques, while in the ring. As she grows to love her sport, Monique begins to discover more of what she really wants out of life.
  • The Titan - In this Netflix original sci-fi film, a group of soldiers undergo experiments to prepare them for a mission to Saturn's moon Titan in an effort to find a new home for humanity. But as the experiences continue, one soldier finds himself transforming into something beyond human as his wife fights to preserve the man that she loves.

Coming Attractions

As always, this week on Netflix sees a new set of original shows hit the service, beginning with the next episode of David Letterman's chat show, My Next Guest Needs No Introduction, which features a conversation with Jay-Z and a visit to producer Rick Rubin. In the original film 6 Balloons, a woman drives her heroine-addicted brother and his two-year-old around Los Angeles in search of a detox center. Finally, in the first season of The Boss Baby: Back in Business, Boss Baby teams up with Tim and his employees at Baby Corp in order to bring down a cat that threatens babies' dominance as the thing people see as the cutest.

  • My Next Guest Needs No Introduction - Jay-Z - The next installment of David Letterman's Netflix original chat show sees the host sit down for a conversation with Jay-Z that touches on everything from hip-hop flow to the criminal justice system. Dave also heads to Malibu to hang out with producer Rick Rubin at his studio. Arrives April 6.
  • 6 Balloons - In this Netflix original film, a young woman named Katie drives around Los Angeles with her heroin-addicted brother in search of a detox center after he relapses. Things are made more complicated by the presence of her brother's two-year-old daughter. Katie tries her best to take care of both of them, as she tries to finally stop enabling her brother and get him the help he needs. Arrive April 6.
  • The Boss Baby: Back in Business - Season 1 - A follow-up to the The Boss Baby film, this original animated series follows Boss Baby as he brings his older brother inside the secret world of Baby Corp, where infants try to keep themselves on top as the most loved thing in the world. When a particular cat threatens that dominance, Boss Baby, Tim, and the Baby Corp crew band together to come up with a solution to their cuteness problem. Arrives April 6.
