In this week's selection of films and shows on Amazon Prime, the story of two men whose lives are changed forever by a devastating plane collision. Five teenagers come into possession of mysterious coins that grant them superhuman powers, and who must team up to fight an evil that wants to dominate not only their world, but the universe as well. Finally, a high schooler puts his future in jeopardy when he becomes determined to investigate the murder of his friend after the police dismiss his death as a gang killing.
- Aftermath - Following the devastating collision of two planes, two men, one who lost his whole family in the crash, and one an air traffic controller who holds himself responsible, each deal with the tragedy in their own way. Their paths ultimately collide in a violent confrontation that will have lasting consequences for them both.
- Power Rangers - When five teenagers find a set of special coins, they also discover that they have been gifted with superhuman abilities. After also finding an ancient, buried alien ship, the group is called on to become the Power Rangers, the latest in a line of protectors of the cosmos who must fight together to stop the evil Rita Repulsa from taking over the universe.
- November Criminals - After his friend is shot and killed in a local coffee shop, high schooler Addison Schacht takes the investigation into his own hands when it becomes clear that the police and his community are going to write off the murder as a gang killing. Along with his classmate, Phoebe, Addison digs to find the truth, with his life becoming increasingly dangerous as he gets closer to finding it.
Looking ahead
This week's new additions to Amazon's Prime Video lineup starts with Tommy's Honour, a father and son share both a complicated relationship and a passion for the game of golf, which they word to build into the game we know today. In LOL, a young woman does her best to navigate the high school realities of romance, friendship, and peer pressure while trying to avoid her over-protective mother. Finally, in Crooked House, the Agatha Christie novel comes to life as a private detective works to uncover a killer when the patriarch of a wealthy family is murdered under the roof that he shares with that family.
- Tommy's Honour - This film tells the true story of the founding of the modern game of golf by Scottish golfing champions Old Tom Morris and Young Tom Morris. The movie explores the complicated relationship between father and son and mistakes that are made that have lasting consequences for them both. Arrives March 14.
- LOL - A young woman tries to balance friendship, romance, and peer pressure. Her over-protective mother, freshly divorced, meanwhile, strives to find love again while trying not to lose touch with her ever-more-distant daughter. Arrives March 15.
- Crooked House - Based on Agatha Christie's novel of the same name, this film follows a private investigator, Charles as he works to find a killer amongst a large, well-to-do family who all live together in a massive, misshapen house. One among them has killed the family patriarch, and Charles must look past the obvious suspects and divine the true motive for the shocking crime. Arrives March 17.
