Phones, Watches, and Apple TV
iPhone 9/XI September 2018
Whatever Apple ends up calling its next grouping of iPhone models, we're expecting to see it around early September this year, likely building off the iPhone X's design and features.
Apple Watch series 4 September 2018
Like the iPhone, new Apple Watch models come but once a year. We should be seeing the next Apple Watch in early September, but until we do, here's what we've heard lately.
Apple TV 4K+ 2019
We haven't heard much yet about an update to Apple's set top box in 2018, but we'll let you know the second we do!
HomePod 2/mini June 2018
No sooner was the HomePod released than the rumor mill restarted: We've heard tales of a cheaper HomePod "mini", along with potential improvements to the existing speaker.
Laptop and Desktop Macs
iMac Pro 2 2019
We haven't heard anything just yet about the iMac Pro's successor, but we'll update this page when we do!
Mac Pro 2018-2019
Apple broke with decades of tradition to spoil its upcoming product line to the world. And not just any product line: The company gave a sneak peek of its plans for the future of Mac Pro. I'm going to repeat that: A new Mac Pro. And new pro displays, branded by Apple. Though it won't be here until 2018 at the earliest, we can still speculate.
Mac Mini Unknown
The Mac mini hasn't been updated since October 2014, when it was made even more appliance-like than previous generations. Since then Apple's bring-your-own-mouse-keyboard-and-monitor Mac has been missing in action. Here's what we know.
iMac 2018
Apple updated its all-in-one desktop lineup with Kaby Lake processors, more memory options, and better graphics back in 2017; it's likely we'll see an update for the iMacs this year, but we're not yet sure on the time frame.
MacBook Pro 2018
Apple updated its laptop lineup in 2017 with Kaby Lake processors and better graphics, so it's probable we'll see an update for the MacBook Pros this year, though we're not sure yet on the time frame.
Apple Accessories
Apple Watch Bands Spring 2018
Since Apple Watch launched in 2015, the case has only been updated once but the bands have been updated multiple times — every spring and every fall. In addition to the original sport, leathers, and metal bands, woven nylon, Nike, and Hermès have been added to the mix, as have a plethora of new colors.
Apple Pencil 2 Spring 2018
We've heard enough about iPad rumors — let's talk about my favorite accessory: The Apple Pencil. Could we see a new version of Apple's stylus in 2018?
AirPods 2 2018-2019
We've got an assortment of rumors for the next generation(s) of Apple's AirPods, including water-proofing, a new wireless chip, wireless case, and more.
Software & Services
iCloud Unknown
iCloud is Apple's online service that consists of iCloud Photo Library, iCloud Drive, iCloud Keychain, and a long list of other features, right down to email, contact, and calendar sync. It debuted alongside iOS 5, way back in 2011, and since then has grown, fumbled, frustrated, marveled, and enabled iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, Apple TV, and Mac users everywhere. We'll see some improvements to iCloud with iOS 12 at WWDC, but what else could iCloud do?
Apple Music Unknown
In 2016, Apple Music got refocused and redesigned. The service, at least ostensibly, got simpler and the app, bigger, bolder, and more beautiful. It made Apple Music better, inarguably, but did it make it better enough?
ARKit Unknown
Augmented Reality (AR) or Mixed Reality is different than Virtual Reality (VR). Rather than being immersed in a fully-rendered world, AR/MR layers data on top of the real world. Rumor has it, Apple's special projects group is exploring AR for a variety of applications.
ARKit came out with iOS 11 in September 2017, but what else could the company have planned for AR?
iOS 12 Fall 2018
Apple has just announced iOS 11, which is due out in September. Its follow-up, iOS 12, will likely be introduced at WWDC 2018, followed by a launch to consumers in Fall 2018.
Project Titan A.K.A Apple Car Unknown
What is Project Titan, Apple's secretive car project? When will it ship, how will it work, and how much will it cost? Nobody outside Apple's upper echelon knows for sure, but here are all the rumors currently making the rounds! Currently, it sounds as though Apple is focusing on the software side of autonomous driving, though there are whispers of an autonomous shuttle service between the company's campuses.
